Introduction to Roses
We would like to encourage you to think about fall gardening tasks for the cool fall weather ahead.
Taking care of your garden’s needs today provides a bounty of beauty and a healthy yard in the seasons ahead. Plan to attend to a few fall gardening tasks today and you will be rewarded with a lush garden in the spring.
This summer has been particularly chilly and wet - even for the Pacific Northwest - For many gardeners the summer weather has been a disappointment and for those of us with years of experience, the weather presented some challenges.
Because of the short growing season and unusual cool weather over the summer, your plantings may need some special, tender loving care to protect them in the winter months ahead. The dampness and lack of sunshine tends to make them prone to molds and disease.
With specific attention to your garden’s needs, the Kaleidoscope team would like to oversee and attend to these fall gardening tasks for you.
Fall is a time for planting bulbs and dealing with perennial weeds. Cooler fall weather is perfect for increasing the vibrancy of your lawn (or planting a new one). Larger projects such as moving trees and shrubs can be planned now as many can tolerate being moved in cooler weather or in dormancy.
“ …there is a beauty to every season. Fall brings us the harvest & a gentle settling down for the winter quiet.
For those of us who are in the fall of life it is a time of reflection .... and for dancing Salsa.“
George D. Gregory, Owner.
